This is my way of saying I am switched over to my night schedule now, and sleeping during the day. If the sun is up, it's bed time!

I like my new job. You wouldn't think that working a hotline at a domestic violence shelter would be peaceful, but the overnight shift is mostly that. I do some data entry, some cleaning, do bed and grounds checks, call other shelters to see who has space open, and read.

I also have a couple of regulars for doggy day care that come to my house. One is a little sheltie named Sam who comes on Mondays. She is very cute, but she doesn't trust Gumbo. Poor guy. He hasn't done anything to her except be too big for her comfort. She stays very close to me most of the time. Then the good news is that Biggs is coming back! I am so excited to see him again. He's had a terrible time with his back legs since we last saw him. One of his back knees is really messed up right now, and he might need to have surgery. He's already had surgery on the other one. Poor thing. I guess he can hardly walk. He might come this week, but we aren't sure. His mom, who is a flight attendant, is feeling nervous about leaving him like this.
